KUWAIT INTL AIRPORT (KWI) Car Hire

Minimum age to rent: 21 years old for all car groups. No young driver fees apply. Maximum Age to rent: 70 years old.

Driving the rental vehicle outside of the territory of Kuwait is prohibited.

*CDW* Collision Damage Waiver provides excess coverage for damage applied to the body of the rental vehicle. It does not cover damage to tires, windshields or the underbody of the vehicle during the rental. A daily premium fee which ranges from 2.00 KWD to 4.00 KWD depending on the car group rented is applicable for CDW. If CDW is waived, the renter will be responsible for an excess-deductible ranging from 150.00 KWD to 450.00 KWD depending on the car group rented in cases of damage caused to the rental vehicle.

Delivery and collection service is available on request with prior 24 hours notice. Please call 965 24343470 for more information. The city and airport locations facilitate delivery and collection queries and provide this service up to 45 kilometers outside Kuwait city. When the city branch is closed, the airport location will service the customer as they operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A premium fee of 10.00 KWD is charged for delivery and collection service.

All vehicles are delivered with a level tank of fuel and should be returned in the same condition. If the rental vehicle is returned with less fuel than the given level, the renter will incur a refueling fee of 0.300 KWD per liter. There is no refill fuel service fee.

Total rental cost for Inclusive rate products include unlimited mileage, CDW Collision Damage Waiver and TP Theft Protection.

To arrange Chauffeur Service - The customer needs to call and make a chauffeur service request 24 hours prior to the requested time by calling 965 24343470 and providing complete address and contact number. Normal working hours - 8 hours per day is 30.00 KWD per day Overtime hours - 5.00 KWD per hour Location covered must be within Kuwait city. Note - If this service is requested, reservations are to be made one day before arrival at least.

Zero Risk Protection - provides full protection for damage to the vehicle, in case of theft, and coverage in the case of death or bodily injury to any passenger in the vehicle. A daily premium fee which ranges from 5.00 to 9.00 KWD depending on the car group rented is applicable for Zero Risk Protection.

*PAI-Third Party Liability* Personal Accident Insurance and Third Party Liability provides coverage in the case of death or bodily injury to any passenger in the vehicle, except for the driver, spouse or first-degree relatives. This coverage also protects the insured against any claims resulting from a third party for the material loss, bodily injuries, death or damage in an accident when driving the insured vehicle. This policy is mandatory by law as stipulated in the Legislative Decree Number 3 of 1987. The insurance covers the vehicle owner against the exposure to any claims, legal or civil liabilities. PAI provides insurance coverage according to the government directives. A daily premium fee of 1.00 KWD for all car groups is applicable for PAI and Third Party Liability.

Acceptable methods of payment - Acceptable methods of payment include cash, the following credit cards - American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and cards on the Kuwaiti payments network *k-net* vouchers. Deposits - only credit card deposits are accepted, no cash deposits are allowed. The rental deposit will account for the cost of the rental, fuel, excess and traffic violations. Deposit amounts range from 150.00 KWD to 450.00 KWD depending on the car group rented.

Roadside Protection is included in all rental rates. This service is provided by our third party provider, AAA Advanced American Auto, and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Roadside assistance contact information is provided at the time of rental. Services include tow, jump start, flat tire replacement and lock out service. Key replacement and fuel delivery are offered but fees will apply. Key replacement fee is 100.00 KWD and fuel delivery 0.100 KWD per liter. Roadside assistance is not available outside the territory of Kuwait.

Renter requirements - Drivers license must have been held for at least one year. Holders of an international driving license are required to also show their passport at the rental as an additional form of identification. In accordance to the law of the state of Kuwait - traffic law - foreign drivers must have a Driving License Insurance -DLI- in order to be able to drive in the state of Kuwait for protection from liability in case of accidents. GCC nationals are exempt from this rule. Foreign drivers will have to purchase DLI prior to renting a vehicle by visiting any of the insurance company offices in Kuwait. Benefits of the policy - Protects the insured against material losses of the vehicle subject to the terms and conditions of the private vehicles comprehensive insurance plan with the addition of extra coverages if required. The policy is designed to cover the vehicle when driven by the owner of an insured driving license against the dangers of accidents on the road. Purpose of the policy - Provides comprehensive coverage to insure the driving licenses of the drivers.

*SCDWTWP* Super Collision Damage Waiver and Tires Windshield Protection provides excess coverage for damage applied to the body, tires and windshield of the rental vehicle. A daily premium fee which ranges from 4.00 KWD to 9.00 KWD depending on the car group rented is applicable for SCDWTWP. SCDWTWP coverage removes the deductible amount in cases of damage caused to the rental vehicle. The purchase or inclusion of CDW in rate products is mandatory for renters to qualify for SCDWTWP.

The rental location is situated in the main airport terminal at the Arrivals Hall – basement floor – counter B6. When exiting out of the arrivals gate, proceed straight ahead 100 meters until you reach the escalator. Descend to the basement level. The location will be on the right. Kuwait Airways passengers will arrive at Terminal 4. Please leave the terminal via the main door, where you will find buses (running every 15 minutes) that will transport you to the main terminal. The transfer time is less than 5 minutes. When arriving at the main terminal, please proceed to the Basement Floor office B06.

*TP* Theft Protection - In the case of vehicle theft, the renter is covered from replacement costs to the theft protection excess amount of 150.00 KWD to 450.00 KWD depending on the car group rented. This cover is only valid if you comply with the terms of the rental agreement. A daily premium fee which ranges from 2.00 KWD to 4.40 KWD depending on the car group rented is applicable for TP. Notations - 1- You must provide a police report if the car is stolen with car keys. 2- TP is covered within the price rate - included in the rate.
