RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. The minimum rental period is considered 1 day. Minimum age limit 21 years, for car categories A1, B1, C. Minimum age limit 23 years for car categories D, E, F, G, R, K, S, X, L. Maximum age rate 75 years for all groups. Valid driving license for at least 12 months. A valid International or European Unions’ driving license.
    Identity card or Passport. Personal Credit Card, not Cash Card Maestro (e.g.: Electron). Cash Card cannot be used as guarantee card but can be used for the payment  of the rental. 
  2. Third Party Liability Insurance (Required by Greek Law) Free of charge. Coverage limits: a) Third Party Bodily Injury up to 500.000€, b) Third Party Property Damage 100.000€ - except the National – Alamos’ car. 
  3. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) - Covers the vehicle’s liability in any case, with a deductible amount of 500,00€ for car groups A1, B1, C, 700,00€ for car groups D, E, F, G, R, T 1.200,00€ for car groups K, S and 1.600,00€ for car groups X, L. Daily charge: 11,00€, 15.00€, 20,00€, and 27,00€ for the above car categories respectively. CDW does not provide any coverage concerning damages provoked at the underside part of the vehicle, inside part of the vehicle-saloon, wind shields, mirrors and tires. Basic condition is that the damage is not due to infringement of Road Circulation Code. The Accident Statement should always be
    supplemented so that the insurances’ covers will be in effect. 
  4. Theft Waiver (TW) - Covers the rented vehicle against total theft with a deductible amount of 500,00€ for car groups A1, B1, C, 700,00€ for car groups D, E, F, G, R and 1.200,00€ for car groups K, S, X, L. Daily charge: For car groups A1, B1, C, 3,00€, for car groups D, E, F, G, R 4,00€ and for car groups Ê, S, X, L 5.00 euro. 
  5. Full Damage Waiver (FDW) - Covers the deductible amount that is applied to the CDW coverage. Daily charge: For car categories A1, B1, C 6,00€, for D, E, F, G, R 8,00€, for K, S 12,00€ and for car categories X, L 20,00€. FDW does not provide any coverage concerning damages provoked at the underside part of the vehicle, inside part of the vehicle-saloon, wind shields, mirrors and tires. Basic condition is that the damage is not due infringement of Road Code Circulation. The Accident Statement should always be supplemented so that the insurances’ covers will be in effect. 
  6. Full Theft Waiver (FTW) - Covers the deductible amount that is applied to the TW coverage. Daily charge: 3,50€ for all car groups. 
  7. Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) - Covers the driver of the vehicle up to the amount of 15.000,00€ in case disability or death. Daily Charge 4.00€ for all car groups. 
  8. Child or Baby Seat (CS, BS) - Daily Charge: 3,00€ (max 25,00€) 
  9. Snow Chains (SC) - Daily Charge: 3,00€ (max 25,00€) 
  10. Luggage rack (LR) – Not Available
  11. Delivery or Collection of vehicle from or to locations other than the National stations (DEL-COL) Charge of 20,00€ till 8 km. Charge of 20,00€ plus 0,45€ per kilometre, for 9 km and more. 
  12. Delivery outside rental station operation operating hours, After Hours Service (NDL) - 21.00–08.00 hour - Charge: 20,00€ per service (& paragraph 11 if delivery or collection is requested). International Athens Airport is excluded with free of charge 24-hour service 
  13. Additional Driver (ADD) Daily Charge 2,50€ for all car groups. 
  14. Reduction of age limit provided that the driver is under 23 years old (and over 21 years old), has a valid driving license at least one year, can rent a car with an extra debit of 8,00€ per day for car categories D, E, F, G, R, K and extra charge 15,00€ for car categories S, X, L. 
  15. Global Position System (GPS) – Daily Charge: 8,00€ per day 
  16. Hiring by station to station (One Way Fee) Availability & Charge according to location 
  17. Transport of vehicle via ship or other media. Renter´s written authorization is required. (20,00€ per direction). The vehicle without the written authorization of National – Alamo is not covered for the time that it remains on a ship. 
  18. Accident administration fee (AF). In case of accidents an administration fee of 25,00€ will be charged. This charge applies irrelevantly of party at fault. 
  19. Cross border policy. Cross border rentals are allowed only within the European Union. A prior written authorization is required. This kind of rentals should be requested from National – Alamo at least 7 working days prior the pick up date. 
  20. Extension of renting. It is allowed according to availability 
  21. Rentals for over 30 days (long term & monthly+ rentals): at the expiry of the current rental agreement Driver should communicate with the Service Station of National - Alamo of his area in order to sign the rental agreement’s renewal after a quick inspection of the car. 
  22. Car types. All car types that are mentioned in catalogues are sample models and are subject to change with similar 
  23. Road Assistance: 24 Hours free of charge 
  24. Security Deposits (SD): In each rental a credit card (VISA, MASTERCARD, DINNERS, AMEX) is essential. *an amount equal to CDW Deductible amount is required plus 150,00€ for tires and fuel deposit for A1, B1, C car groups & 200,00€ for the rest car groups. 
  25. Traffic or other municipal fines. The Driver is fully liable.

  27. The above rates do not include VAT & Airport Fees. 
  28. Taxes: VAT 16% or 23%: Depends on the area. APFEE International Airport of Athens 13%, APFEE for other Airports 6%
